- I'm the proud momma of 2 amazing kids. I have always been very creative and determined to figure out how to do whatever I feel like dabbling in. I am not the kind of person that depends on or waits for someone to help me because I'm usually so impatient that I need to do whatever it is as soon as it strikes my fancy. My first quilt was for my daughters kindergarten class. I volunteered as I was the only mom with a sewing machine. I did it all without any knowledge of the little things that matter in quilting - seam allowances, accurate measuring and cutting, shortcuts for making pinwheels, etc. I drew it out and went for it. And that's pretty much how I handle most things in my life.
